DCC Technology Demonstration Program (TDP)

Up to $50,000 to implement an approved digital modernization plan

$50K
current program-page maximum

Overview

Move from an approved DMAP roadmap into technology implementation

OCI's current Digital Competence Centre page lists up to $50,000 for eligible Ontario SMEs implementing technology after completing a DMAP project.

The implementation should follow the priorities established in the approved plan and can include automation, system integration, data infrastructure, and AI-enabled modernization where the business case supports it.

An older July 2025 OCI announcement referenced TDP support up to $100,000, but the current program page and April 2026 guideline both cap reimbursement at $50,000. We use the current operative amount.

Application Process

1

Confirm DMAP completion

Before application

Verify that the business completed an eligible DMAP and meets the current DCC company requirements.

2

Define implementation scope

1-2 weeks

Connect software, workflow, security, integration, training, and AI work directly to the approved DMAP priorities.

3

Submit DCC intake

Before contracting

Use OCI's company intake and confirm the contribution cap, cost share, and eligible start date.

4

Implement and report

Per agreement

Deliver only approved work and retain invoices, payment evidence, and outcome records required by OCI.

Common Mistakes

01

Using an obsolete $100K cap

An older announcement used $100K, but the current page and April 2026 guideline cap reimbursement at $50K.

02

Skipping the business case

Even without TDP, implementation projects need clear ROI, budget, timeline, owners, and vendor accountability.

03

Underestimating the implementation timeline

Technology deployments always take longer than planned. Build a practical buffer before promising outcomes.

Key Deadlines

Prerequisite

Completed DMAP

TDP is the implementation follow-on for eligible DMAP graduates.
