DCC Digital Modernization & Adoption Plan (DMAP)

Up to $15,000 to build an Ontario digital modernization and AI adoption plan

$15K
maximum contribution

Overview

Turn operational bottlenecks into a funded digital modernization roadmap

OCI's current Digital Competence Centre intake offers eligible Ontario SMEs up to $15,000 toward a vendor-neutral Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan.

The plan can map workflow automation, data foundations, cybersecurity, software integration, and responsible AI adoption before the company commits to implementation spending.

DMAP is the planning gateway to TDP. Approval is required before eligible work begins, and the contribution remains subject to OCI review and available funding.

Application Process

1

Submit DCC intake

Before contracting

Complete OCI's company intake so the business and proposed modernization need can be screened.

2

Scope the plan

1-2 weeks

Map workflows, software stack, bottlenecks, data risk, AI opportunities, and implementation priorities with an eligible advisor.

3

Receive approval

Varies by review

Confirm the OCI agreement and eligible project start date before beginning reimbursable work.

4

Deliver and claim

Per agreement

Complete the approved plan, pay eligible invoices, and submit required evidence for reimbursement.

Common Mistakes

01

Treating intake as approval

The intake form starts screening; it does not guarantee funding. Wait for the OCI agreement before eligible work begins.

02

Starting before approval

Start reimbursable work only after OCI confirms approval and the eligible project period.

03

Vague project scope

Even without DMAP funding, the assessment needs a specific operational scope: inventory, scheduling, CRM, accounting, security, or AI governance.

Key Deadlines

Intake

Currently available

TDP unlock
